The Devil Has never Been Easier To Root For

Lets make this simple, Daredevil is one of the best uses of a comic book property I have ever seen. Across thirteen episodes, Daredevil has managed to be one of the years most talked about shows. As opposed to individually rate each episode, I will grade it as a whole. Though in the general Marvel Universe, it is well above the PG-13 content fans are used to. If you took Showtime's Dexter and incorporated it into that universe, Daredevil is the brilliant love child that would have come out of it. Violent, gritty, and dark but all the while charming. It has the right amount of nods to the comic realm but maintains its focus on the progression of its characters. The main cast all gets their time to shine and respectively develop and there has not been many times where I have seen it done well. Straight out of the gate the show exhibits excellent fight scenes with choreography that nearly achieves levels of The Raid series quality. This action peaks in the beginning, but the pacing makes sense for the narrative and the slow times are filled with tense, dynamic development that ultimately wraps up the season and further develops the characters. With an already announced season 2, I can not wait to see what they do with the rich source material that they have handled so well to this point. The show has made me an indefinite fan and excites me for the upcoming Netflix/Marvel originals. With amazing character development, gritty ass kicking, and a fluid arching story, Daredevil is not to be missed this TV season. 9.5/10
