*Note that I went to applebees during their free sampler appetizer promotion so I'm not sure if this affected it.* Now this appetizer comes with about 8 churros which are covered in sugar and are pretty good but the whole Smores dipping sauce is its down fall... the sauce comes with a layer of marshmallows on top of all chocolate sause mix. On first impression the sauce was very heavy almost like all dark chocolate. After talking with our waitress she explained that they use Hersey's chocolate milk sauce used to be diluted down with milk. She then got us a cup of the Hersey's hot fudge Sunday sause that you'd put on a desert. Now that was way better than the original. Overall I wouldn't recommend buying these for full price get them during the half price apps and ask for the hot fudge sause! Overall churros were good, sauce sucked. 2.5/5
"Fire Cracker" chicken grilled cheese. This is a seasonal sandwich at Melt. Starts out with the traditional sour dough bread. Then on the bottom is a pile of melted cheese throughout. Served with Melt's carnival/fair style fries. It comes with spicy avocado (but I'm not and fan of avocado so I said nawh), pineapple rings, topped with a big nice piece of breaded chicken flavored with a spicy sauce and seasoning. (I'm unsure of the sauce but it was hot) This was a very very good sandwich. Good heat from the sauce and awesome mix of cheeses. I'd definitely recommend trying this sandwich out. I hope they put it on the regular menu. But I always have a great experience at melt. Very good atmosphere, people, and service. 4.5/5

The thing that caught my eye about trying this new sandwich is the commercials about the endless fries. I've always liked applebees fries but having endless plates of them was was a no brainer. This particular sandwich part oft the new handheld sandwich series is sliced Montreal steak topped with two cheeses, with one being Applebee's beer brewed pub cheese (also comes with fried jalapeños, onions, and peppers. But those are nasty so I didn't include them lol) on cibatta bread. The sandwich is really good with the seasoned steak slices and the creamy cheese tops it excellently. Also part of the endless fries promotion they have included new house chips, which are basically sliced potatoes made like kettle cooked chips and seasoned, and also added bbq seasoned fries. Overall the sandwich is great and the different fry choices make it even better. This should you're next Applebee's entree choice at around 10 bucks ! The sandwich lands in at a 4.5/5 ! The new house chips and bbq fries earn a 4/5 for the both of them!

As part of the new #Handhelds menu that is filled with choices for bacon and meat lovers, the Chicken Piadini was my choice this time around. Its a simple wrap, fitted with grilled chicken, bacon, and lettuce. The kicker that drew me in was the maple mustard, and boy did it deliver. Sweet and tangy, and not too tart. It complemented the BBQ sauce in the wrap and made it more elegant in a way. Paired with unlimited fries or house chips (which I did not receive because of poor service) and also a side of house made pickles which were sweet and spicy in all the right ways .I would definitely give this one a shot. It is the right size for dinner or a heavy lunch, not too much and not too little. 4/5
