*Cue the music* This is Major Tom to ground control, Alan Wake is stepping out the doo-oor.I know that was corny, but I refuse to apologize for it. Due to music licensing issues, Alan Wake will be removed from all digital storefronts on May 15th, 2017. Xbox Live Arcade game Alan Wake: American Nightmare is not affected by this and will continue to be available for purchase digitally. Steam games will be having a “Sunset” sale starting on the 13th. You can get Alan Wake for 90% off until it's removal on the 15th. It is unclear if Xbox will be having a special as well, so keep an eye out for that this weekend. This is your very last chance to grab Alan Wake digitally so get it while you can. And for people who already own it on Steam or Xbox Live, you will still be able to download it after it's removal. Alan Wake is easily one of my favorite games on Xbox360. I remember picking it up on launch day. I started playing it with a friend. I had work the next the next day, so I went to sleep and my friend kept on playing. The next day I get up for work and the crazy bastard was on the final chapter, he pulled an all-nighter. His taste in horror games is pretty close to mine so I was fairly excited to jump back into it. So for the next few weeks I would come home, plop myself down in front of the TV and play Alan Wake, finding all the collectibles, earning all the achievements, beating the highest difficulty. The unique combat; the small-town mystery vibe; the fantastic graphics; an eclectic variety of tracks from musicians like Bowie, Poets of the Fall, and Roy Orbison are some of the main reasons that Alan Wake still sticks out in my mind after all these years. It sucks that this psychological horror gem from Remedy is being taken down from digital storefronts, but I'm sure that most people who are interested in it already own it. Worst case scenario, you can still hunt down a physical copy on Ebay or Amazon, though prices may get hiked up after this. “It's not a lake, it's an ocean!” By Richard Jewell
