Now available on Steam’s early access program is the retro-style beat ‘em up Radical Heroes: Crimson City Crisis! Created by indie developer Mad Unicorn Games as an homage to 1980’s-1990’s era brawlers, the story features a big, bald, buff-guy named Diesel as he uses his fists to deal with the sudden influx of crime in his city. The action plays out in a 2.5-dimensional fashion as you brawl throughout 6 levels of maze-like city streets. The game also has an interesting premise to it. Each level is considered a playset and the 40+ playable characters are action figures. You only start out with Diesel, but you can unlock more as you progress is the game and defeat bosses. Each character comes with their own collectable weapon. Radical Heroes also features a 4-player online co-op mode.
