Kingdom: New Lands
Available on Xbox One and PC

8.5/10

The game has excellent replay value, and even as I’m writing this I want to turn it on for a quick game to see how many days I can survive. It’s a good fit for anybody who likes to just jump in and play, with no story or preamble, or anyone who enjoys tower defense games. I highly recommend it.

Layers of Fear: Inheritance
Available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

7.5/10

It’s a short package, but at only $5 it’s more than fair. If you are a fan of the base title, this is a no brainer. While some of its segments felt inconsistent, as a whole it delivers everything good about the original while maintaining better story telling.

#KillAllZombies
AVAILABLE on PS4, Xbox One, and PC

5.5/10

Some mindless fun is provided in this game, but I do not believe there is much replayability unless you are a leaderboard fanatic. With the lack of features and the basic level of gameplay that is in the title, it does not have much to hold players attention long enough for an extended play through.

Batman TTS Episode 1: Realm of Shadows
Availible on all Major Platforms

9/10

Overall this game is a must for any fans of Batman or Telltale. It runs about 2 hours, though you can replay it over again to see what would happen if you made different choices. Telltale games, there is a noticeable jerkiness when the game transitions to another scene, but I had no such problems this time so I’m glad to see that.

Ben-Hur

This game will net you about 35 minutes of entertainment if you are not into achievements and maybe 45 if you are. Ben-Hur is a download, play, and finish all within an hour or hour and half if you are really into this game.

Overcooked

9/10

I am extremely delighted that Overcooked lived up to, if not exceeded my expectations. It goes down in the books as one of the best co-operative gaming experiences in years, and brings me a virtual cooking joy I haven't had in years.

Quatros Origins
AVAILABLE on Xbox One and PC

8/10

As a core puzzle game for only $5, it is an easy buy. With multiple modes, a unique twist on a classic concept, and solid controls, Quatros Origins is a great title to add to your collection. Easy to get into but definitely hard to master, Quatros Origins a great shake up to other similar puzzlers in the genre.

The Flame in the Flood

Action News Heroes

7.5/10

In the end, the appeal to this game could go for anyone and I personally really enjoyed this game and I am not a big shmups fan. The campaign is rather short and it is the only mode in the game, but if you enjoy shmups or are just looking for a game that is some mindless fun, I would strongly recommend picking this one up.

Tumblestone

4/10

I think this game was meant for the causal player to pick up every once and a while and I see that as how you will need to play this game without breaking a bunch of controllers. I was excited for this game when I saw that it was on Games with Gold, but it feels incomplete and I wish it didn’t. I wanted to like this game, but I just couldn’t.

Ninja Pizza Girl

7/10

All-in-all Ninja Pizza Girl is a safe experience. I commend it for its approach towards real world issues, and it deserves the commendations for finding a voice in a genre that does not always have room for it. It does not break any boundaries, nor does it fall below them.

10/10

To get straight to the point, INSIDE is a moving, chilling, and overall fantastic piece of creative work. It is art in motion, and every step you take in the three to four hour experience is one you will not regret. INSIDE brings many inspirations from its predecessor in an enhanced, fully fleshed, and practically perfect game.

Monochroma

6/10

I wanted to like Monochroma, like really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, at the end of the day it just does not cut it.
It’s dull and lifeless, and while some puzzles are great, the experience as a whole leaves more to be desired.
Monochroma has a great art style, but everything else is just less than stellar.

Kung-Fu For Kinect

7.5/10

Kung-Fu for Kinect is without a doubt a workout. Its cheesiness is appealing for the title, and fits the title accordingly. My body is sore from all the punches I threw, and while some segments admittedly stressed me out, as a whole my experience is entirely positive.
